The Batesville Arts & Innovation Hub is an initiative of the Batesville Memorial Public Library in collaboration with the Batesville Community School Corporation, Batesville Area Arts Council, C.R.E.A.T.E Foundation, St. Louis Catholic School and Oldenburg Academy. These community groups envision an innovative, multi-use community anchor space to provide resources to: learn & work, explore & play, and create & share.
The 8,000 square feet facility will accomplish these goals by expanding the existing Batesville Memorial Public Library by adding outdoor space. The new facility will feature several spaces for community activitiesincluding:
• A 200 person multipurpose event space/theatre room
• Meeting & collaborative spaces
• Maker space featuring a 3D printer, gaming, coding, robotics, arts & crafts
• Outdoor spaces with a small amphitheater
• Genealogy & Indiana history room
• Reading & study spaces
