Once Industrial Park Road has been extended, we will begin an aggressive approach of pursuing and attracting new businesses looking to expand/relocate to an area that is conveniently located along I-74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, a geographic location that can improve the transportation needs of shipping and receiving.
The Batesville Industrial Park is a prime location for industries that require large amounts of water in their production process. Ideal prospects to pursue include food processing manufacturers. Studies have shown that large amounts of agriculture-related products produced in our region are transported out of the region and state for processing.
The Batesville Industrial Park is owned by the City of Batesville and has access to all city-owned utilities including water, gas, wastewater, and sewer. The electric provider for the property is Southeastern REMC/Hoosier Energy. These amenities will assist in minimizing the speed to market.
The Industrial Park Road expansion project has been designed to accomplish four primary goals:
Increase the inventory of shovel-ready property available in the ARI Region.
Attract new and potentially diverse businesses to the City of Batesville.
Increase the availability of new job opportunities throughout the region.
Increase the workforce population in the region.
The completion/extension of Industrial Park Road will extend roadway and related infrastructure to provide access to more than 20 acres in the Batesville Industrial Park. The site is located directly behind Batesville’s shell building which was recently purchased by IKIO Lighting. This will add to the region’s existing inventory of shovel-ready properties.
