The site at 845 Miller Avenue, currently home to B&K Mobile Home Park, experienced a harsh fire last year and is in need of redevelopment. The proposed development looks to revitalize the blighted lot and help grow the surrounding neighborhood.
After following a relocation plan for current B&K Mobile Home Park residents, the structures will be demolished to create space for the new construction of 52 spacious, energy efficient housing units geared towards seniors aged 62 and greater. The development plans will include a mix of one-bedroom (29 units) and two-bedrooms (23 units). Units will range in size, be ADA accessible, and will obtain, at minimum, an NGBS Silver certification. Additionally, the unit mix will perfectly serve a variety of income levels for seniors by including units at rents suitable for those that may be on a fixed income.
Not only does this proposed development target a range of demographics, but we also directly aim to enhance the quality of life for our residents by offering a variety of community amenities such as: on-site management, a clubhouse with activities, a fitness area, services geared towards improving quality of life, resident social events, and much more. Along with creating high quality apartments and community space, Eight37 Lofts will provide services for residents free of charge. A CORES Certified service provider will offer a variety of services and programs to residents to learn new skills, get connected to community programs, and more. We are committed to working with the service provider to track the residents’ participation and outcomes related to the services being provided, which will help our team determine if the services offered are appropriate and meet the needs of the residents.
